For those pressed for time—or seeking a bit more adrenaline—a direct 45-minute speedboat ride is also an option. That said, truthfully: this scenic cruise was easily one of the standout experiences of our entire two-week journey through Argentina. Given the early start (around 7:30 a.m.) and limited flight schedules, Estancia Cristina recommends staying in El Calafate the night before your visit (and again the day you leave Estancia Cristina) so you don’t have to rush at either end.
