Hi, I’m Camryn — a New Yorker, now based in sunny Santa Barbara, California.

High Standard Travels was born from a lifelong love of exploration and a natural talent for meticulous planning, organization, and research. Growing up in a family of avid travelers and type-A planners, I like to think curated travel is in my blood.

By age ten, my passport already had a dozen stamps. In college, I lived on a ship for a semester (Suite Life on Deck vibes, truly) and tacked on another twelve countries. I came home completely changed, filled with a permanent sense of wanderlust. Today, I’ve checked 43 countries off my bucket list.

From a budget-conscious student, a volunteer to a DINK (dual income, no kids) and a bridesmaid, I’ve navigated every facet of travel. I’m also the friend that actually makes sure the plans make it out of the group chat — consider me the nudge you need to submit that PTO request.

Before life as a professional travel enthusiast, I spent nearly a decade working in journalism at major national publications. My role was to protect editorial voice, refine aesthetic direction, and coordinate countless moving pieces into one polished product. Looking back, it’s not all that different from designing an exceptional trip.

After years of dreaming up itineraries for loved ones, I decided to channel that passion into full-time travel advising. I am so happy you’ve found your way to my corner of the web, and I cannot wait to turn your travel dreams into extraordinary realities.
